Volunteer Orientation

A volunteer orientation or information session can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 ½ hours, depending on the organization. If you have completed a volunteer orientation and would like a refresher, or if you cannot attend an onsite orientation, go to Verizon Free online Courses at http://literacynetwork.verizon.org/Free-Online-Courses.21.0.html. Scroll down the page to view a list of courses, or look for the orange online course button on the right.

Click on the button, and scroll down the course options on click on "Orientation to Volunteering in Literacy." Follow the instructions to enroll in this course. This course will take approximately 45 minutes to complete.
